Bob on The River missing from Colorado River

Southern Nevada news media is hot on the trail today for a missing amateur UFO watcher, known by friends and townsfolk simply as “Bob on The River.”

Bob was discovered to be missing after he and his comrades from Needles, Calif., just a stone’s throw south of Laughlin, Nev., each reported seeing an unidentified flying object crash in the town’s nearby hills. Needles is so close to the Nevada border that townspeople collectively sympathize with Nevada’s long-standing tradition of UFO spotting, midnight alien abductions and rampant conspiracies.

Bob’s neighbor, AM radio DJ and amateur turquoise jewelry collector, David Hayes said that Bob was here one day and gone the next after publicly spotting both the UFO and G-men in black helicopters and SUVs invading the town just moments after the UFO crashed.

As reported by KLAS-TV, “It seemed like it was some kind of surveillance vehicle — four-wheel drive. It had government plates, U.S. government plates and behind it were a couple of vans that looked like support vehicles,” said Hayes.

Reports are sketchy at press time, so Crazy Nevada correspondents were unable to determine whether, however unlikely, Bob on The River may have simply floated downstream toward his next destination, or if, in fact, he was abducted—either by government operatives or bonafide aliens from galaxies far, far away (or just Las Vegas).

In any case, Crazy Nevada personnel will rest well tonight knowing Las Vegas news media is hot on the case—Freedom of Information Act requests and all–especially during ratings season.
