Registered sex offender, Christopher Lee Hollis of Fallon, was arrested last Wed. for allegedly trying to blow up the Nevada Supreme Court building in Carson City.

According to the Reno Evening Gazette and Nevada State Journal, “during questioning, Hollis and witnesses said he planned an event that would ’send a message’ during the special session, public safety spokesman Daniel Burns said. Hollis also made other threatening statements against symbols of the government and the government’s ideals and policies.”

Hollis later retracted his statements and said his message got confused.

“I was really trying to set off a sex explosion. Please consider my incendiary device as a momentary lapse of judgment,” he said.
