I’d say this qualifies as an “oops” moment

When cyberdouche first heard this story sometime last week, it was broken by a local TV station who purposely didn’t name the guy so that investigators could continue to do their jobs. Um, hmm. So, if cyberdouche was the guy who had ripped off a few million for gambling and, presumably, hookers, and the news had just reported that they were closing in on me, but you know, didn’t say it was me, I think cyberdouche wouldn’t take the chance that they were about to finger Fred from marketing for the theft. I’d have hit the road, too.

And that’s where we stand. We have a bunch of cops looking for a guy who apparently watches the news and decided to hit the damned road as soon as he knew that they were about to arrest him, like, you know, tomorrow. He’s a hell of a lot smarter than your average crook, I tell ya.
